Message from Principal
Gorubathan Government College was established in 2015 with a view to provide to the people of the region with access and opportunityto pursue higher education. Gorubathan is part of the foothills of North Bengal tea belt consisting of a population of various ethnic groups who were educationally and culturally backward. The college is dedicated to serve the region by educating and empowering students. With a curriculum focused on learning outcomes and skill enhancement, a dedicated group of teachers engage in teaching- learning process with a view to shape and empower young minds. Outside the classrooms, the College provides students with opportunities to participate in community outreach programmes,sports, debates, excursions, electoral literacy, NSS and cultural programmes. Supported by a dedicated management staff, teachers provide individual attention to each student through ‘Mentor-Mentee Programmes’. The College also has a Career Counselling and Placement Cell that works towards guiding students in making informed career choices and providing guidance through curated modules consisting of industry experts and agencies.
